Just got my DEFY G2X gimbal in after waiting for months. It seems DEFY had trouble delivering them and there was no communiation about it. Not a good start but glad it arrived and with express service when it was finally ready.
My first impressions here for others considering this gimbal. It is also for rent in the Netherlands if someone wants to test or use it.
Here are some early tests on the CinemaDNG option that will be in the next firmware update voor de Pocket camera.
Please note that these tests are done with beta software and might not be the same on the final version. Still it is nice to see the progress made.
Just did a quicktest with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and an IR test card.
BMPCC with firmware 1.4.1, Panasonic 12-35mm and a B+W XS-PRO variable ND (5 stops max)
Test card in sunlight, exposure @800 ASA first with Fstop21 and second test with the ND filter the full 5 stops down =ND1.5. (In reality it is a full stop less on my meters)
Lots of shots have been made so far, few practical and technical issues came up.
